Do I need a grinder to buy whole bean coffee?
Yes — to get the best from whole beans you need a grinder. A burr grinder gives the most consistent grind size and is worth the investment if you're serious about your coffee. If you don't have one yet, we're happy to grind your beans to order — just select your brew method at checkout.
How long do coffee beans stay fresh?
Properly sealed whole beans stay at peak freshness for 4–6 weeks after roasting. We include a roast date on every bag so you know exactly how fresh your coffee is. For best results, store in an airtight container away from heat and light — not in the fridge.
How quickly will my beans be roasted and delivered?
We roast to order and dispatch within 48 hours. Delivery typically takes 2–3 working days via Royal Mail. Most customers receive their beans 3–5 days after ordering — still very fresh and actively degassing.
Can I get my beans pre-ground?
Yes. At checkout, select your brew method and we'll grind your beans to the correct size before posting. We offer espresso, filter, cafetière and AeroPress grinds. Pre-ground coffee is best used within 2–3 weeks of opening.
What makes single origin better than a blend?
Single origin coffees let you taste exactly where the coffee comes from — the soil, the altitude, the processing method all show up in the cup. Blends are designed for consistency and often mask lower-quality beans. We prefer to let great beans speak for themselves.
